An ITV doctor has said he is “really angry” after misleading videos falsely showing him promoting a fake cancer treatment were circulated online.
Dr Amir Khan, who regularly features on Good Morning Britain and Lorraine, told his followers that scammers had been using his likeness to share fake AI videos to promote false treatments.
In a video posted on Monday (16 March), Dr Amir explained how one man, who has prostate cancer, saw a fake video of him promoting an alleged cure and rang up his surgery to try and speak to him. “It just breaks my heart,” he said.
Dr Amir urged his followers to only follow advice shared from his own personal social media accounts.
