Japan’s Nikkei share average plunged nearly 5% on Thursday, with artificial intelligence-linked stocks leading the selloff amid concerns over the financial health of US cloud-computing provider CoreWeave and fears of higher interest rates following hotter-than-expected US inflation data, Reuters reported.
The tech-heavy Nikkei 225 fell 4.8% to 64,489.06 at the midday recess, while the broader Topix declined 2.5%, Reuters reported.
