The euro fell on Monday as elevated energy prices and renewed concerns over France's political stability weighed on the single currency, while investors reassessed the outlook for US growth, interest rates and the dollar.
The euro declined 0.25% to $1.1210, extending pressure from earlier in October when it dropped more than 1% amid rising concerns over French political tensions and their potential spillover across the euro zone.
