Glen Kamara transfer surge as next Rangers boss set for early dilemma amid Serie A suitor

Serie A upstarts Salernitana are set to give the next Rangers manager something as they ponder a fresh January move for Glen Kamara.

And they want him to team up again with former Rangers loan star Lassana Coulibaly The Ibrox side are managerless after the sacking of Giovanni van Bronckhorst and will be aiming to bring in a new boss as soon as possible, with Michael Beale current favourite.
And reports in Italy have revealed that Salernitana have made Rangers' Finnish international Kamara their main winter transfer window target.

The club - who currently sit in 12th place in Serie A - want additional support for Coulibaly in the centre of midfield, who played with Kamara for six months when he was on loan at Ibron in season 2018/19. Sporting director Morgan De Sanctis, the former Napoli and Italy keeper, has identified Kamara as being the ideal fit for the ambitious club.

And they will try and make a move for the 27-year-old, who still has three years left of his deal after signing an extended contract last year. He was used as a bit-part player this season under van Bronckhorst and his lawyer moved to deny reports of a bust-up following what turned out to be the Dutch manager's final match at St Mirren after he was subbed at half time.

Salernitana manager Davide Nicola has been monitoring Kamara since the summer and is ready to make his move...if the new Ibrox boss sanctions the move.
