A hellbent thug deliberately mowed down a couple in a murder bid then sped off to cover up his crimes as part of a revenge mission.
Barry Walker, 35, spotted Samantha Webster and Gerald Brown chatting to friends in the street when he drove his Mercedes van at the couple. The assailant later boasted to a friend following the incident about knocking them down with his vehicle, he showed more concern for his tyre which had burst.
The driver later dumped the vehicle at a nearby supermarket, reports the Record.
