Glasgow has once again become the talk of the steamie among movie and comic book fans across the globe.
That's after Hollywood royalty in the form of JK Simmons was spotted on the Batgirl set in the city centre yesterday (February 2).
The American actor, famous for his appearances in movies such as Whiplash and Spiderman, was spotted by passersby preparing to film scenes on Virginia Street in the Merchant City area.

Batgirl sees Simmons, 67, return as Gotham City PD Commissioner Jim Gordon - a role he first portrayed in 2017's Justice League.
Known in the comics and movies as being Batman's greatest ally and one of his closest friends, he is also of course the father of Batgirl, played by Leslie Grace in the upcoming HBO Max flick.
Filming is set to continue into March for the much-anticipated superhero movie, with a section of the old District Court building on Turnbull Street being transformed into the Gordon family home for scenes over the next few days.
Next week will also see filming take place in the Kingston area south of the river and in and around Glassford Street.
