A "brave" girl will receive a multimillion pound settlement after she had to have her four limbs amputated hours after being wrongly discharged from hospital.
The High Court in London heard that the girl had shown "red flags for meningitis and sepsis" when she was taken to Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey suffering from a high temperature and heart rate, leg pain, and drowsiness after vomiting.
The girl, who cannot be named, was given paracetamol and sent home but when her parents took her back to A&E a few hours later with a rash and a fever, she was diagnosed with meningococcal sepsis.
