Giovanni Pernice has slammed the decision to give Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin their marching orders from Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend.
The reigning champion of the show criticised their exit, calling it "too early" as he made a very public condemnation of the outcome.
Giovanni, who stunned viewers with a number of beautiful performances with Rose Ayling-Ellis last year prior to lifting the Glitterball trophy, was knocked out of this year's contest alongside partner Richie Anderson.
However, despite his own early exit, he's reacted to fellow professional dancer Nikita's latest Instagram post.
Nikita told his followers he was struggling to come to terms with his premature exit and Giovanni responded in the comments section, saying: "Way to [sic] early !! You guys were a dream to watch !! Both of you be proud of what you have achieved."
And Giovanni's words were echoed by his former partner Rose, who responded: "Absolutely love watching you both. You both have shown that boundaries can be pushed, always be so so proud of this!"
In his own personal news, Giovanni revealed his next project following his departure from the current series in week two.
He has announced that he and Strictly judge Anton Du Beke, who he is going on tour with once again, had landed their own series on BBC titled Adventures in Sicily. Making the announcement to his 822,000 Instagram followers, the dancer gushed: "To say this has been a dream project is an understatement!
"Me and @mrantondubeke are going to be in my much-loved home of Sicily dancing, laughing and having the time of our lives! I cannot wait for viewers in the UK to come on this journey with us. See you in the Sicilian sun in 2023 on bbc iplayer."
The announcement was met with joy by fellow dancer, famous faces and fans alike, with many taking to the comments section to share there thoughts.
Gorka Marquez was among those commenting, explaining he "can't wait" for the show. Shirley Ballas also left a single love heart emoji.
Singer Jake Quickenden penned: "Nice work," while a happy Sophie Habboo wrote: "wooooo," followed by a number of clapping hands emojis.
