Giants will start kicker Greg Joseph vs. Cowboys in Week 4

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Greg Joseph would be the team’s kicker for this Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Daboll was noncommittal about the role after Sunday’s win in Cleveland against the Browns.

“Yeah, it’s going to be Greg,” Daboll told reporters on Tuesday.

Joseph was signed off the Detroit Lions practice squad last week after the team placed kicker Graham Gano (hamstring) on injured reserve (IR).

Joseph beat out a group of other veteran kickers to get the job and then staved off Giants’ practice squadder Jude McAntamney.

Joseph lined up for one field goal last week in Cleveland, a 48-yard attempt late in the game and pushed it wide right. He converted all three of his point after attempts.
