Two of the top players at their positions in the upcoming NFL draft are on the New York Giants’ list of Top 30 visits this spring.
Cincinnati cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner and tight end Trey McBride of Colorado State are on the Giants’ dance card in the upcoming weeks.

Gardner has rocketed up the board the past month after acing the Combine and other workouts. His size and speed combination (6-foot-3, 190 pounds with 4.41 speed) along with his competitive edge and football acumen have made him a likely Top 5 pick come late April. The chance of Gardner falling to the Giants at No. 5 or No. 7 is dwindling by the day.
Detroit (Gardner’s home town), Houston and the Jets – the three teams who pick before the Giants this year – are all interested. The Giants are in need of a top corner should they trade James Bradberry. Gardner did not allow a touchdown in his three seasons with the Bearcats. That is impressive, but DeAndre Baker also had a similar distinction and look how that turned out.
McBride is probably the top tight end in this class used on his production. He is a 6-foot-4, 260 pounder who has a solid all-around game.
#CSU TE Trey McBride has met with a plethora of teams either formally at the combine, virtually via Zoom, and has top-30 visits coming up. List includes #Titans, #Bengals, #Buccaneers, #Giants, #Jets, #Bills.
McBride is an exciting TE prospect.

In 12 games last season, McBride caught 90 passes for 1,121 yards but only one of those receptions went for a touchdown. He also scored a touchdown on a 69-yard running play.
The Giants recently signed Ricky Seals-Jones to augment their tight end room, which is barren after losing Evan Engram in free agency and releasing Kyle Rudolph and Kaden Smith. McBride is a Day 2 pick and the Giants currently have the 36th, 67th, and 81st selections in Rounds 2 and 3.
