Ghost hunters were left unnerved after a spirit warned them of the past dangers at Liverpool's "hidden gem".
The Rice Lane City Farm is located at the end of Rawcliffe Road in Walton and has been around for over 40 years. Run by volunteers, the site has been described as a "hidden gem in the North of Liverpool".
Paranormal investigators Chris Cummings and Adam Billing couldn't wait to explore the 24-acre farm at the heart of the old Walton cemetery. It is estimated that some 300,000 bodies have been interred over the centuries, which Chris said "made it the perfect location for Haunted Scouse to go and investigate."

Joining them for the investigation was a familiar face from social media, Philip Regan known as The Queen Of Scotty Road and his sister-in-law Pepper. But the group got more than they thought when they were instantly met with paranormal activity.
Chris told the ECHO: "Rice Lane Farm is completely free, I didn't know it was there and my own grandad lived around the corner but it has such history. It's easy to find but you'd be forgiven for getting lost and that makes it the perfect place for us."
Starting in the old chapel on site, Mortuary Chapel, a female spirit called Rachel came through their equipment, but things soon turned sinister when a male spirit, believed to be a clergyman, told them to "leave". Once outside, a spirit by the name of Steven came through on another piece of equipment and stated he was "from the 1700s".
Chris said: "The site itself would have been used for various purposes during the 1700’s and many buried there would have been born in the 1700s too. We checked a couple of the graves but couldn't find one with Steven but there may not have been a headstone there.
"Straight from the off we had interaction on every piece of equipment, we got more of a response than we usually would so it was very successful. But me and Adam are wanting to go back because it's such a big site and there's still so much to investigate.
"At the very back of the site there was a very different feel, we believe that was used as a jail and that's when it turned negative. We had words come through the app telling us it was dangerous and people died here."
The investigation ended in the old Lodge of the cemetery, used now as an office space and staff area, which had some "interesting results". Chris said: "With the word ‘Hole’ coming through twice, as well as ‘Mirror’ and ‘Vortex’ the spirits of Rice Lane City Farm may well have been telling the team that the lodge was the place that the spirits could enter and leave the site.
"This was such a great investigation and was a lot of fun to film. We are hoping to team back up with Philip and Pepper in the very near future to continue the fun."
Chris met primary school teacher Adam two years ago and during the pandemic, they decided to set up their own 'Haunted Scouse' YouTube channel, exploring Liverpool's spookiest places. What began as a hobby, Chris and Adam wanted to share Liverpool's important history and it has grown from strength to strength.
After being contacted by Philip, the pair thought it would be an interesting take for their growing YouTube channel. Christ said: "Philip said he loved the unexplained and asked if he could join us and it was great because we saw both sides, we got him and his character. We got the word dance on our equipment and he gave the spirits a dance. It was great fun."
