Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has explained his decision to pick Thomas Partey in his World Cup squad while the former Arsenal midfielder is awaiting a trial in London on multiple charges of rape.
Queiroz cited a presumption of innocence for Partey, who now plays in Spain for La Liga side Villarreal and has pleaded not guilty, and criticised the quick judgements of modern social media, as he spoke philosophically on Monday evening ahead of a warm-up game in Wales.
