George Lucas has voiced a character in Minions and Monsters.

The Star Wars creator - who has taken a step back from the movie industry since selling LucasFilm to Disney in 2012 - delighted the animated film's producer, Chris Meledandri when he told him how much he loved the Despicable Me franchise and its spin-offs, which led to him landing a role in the new film.
