Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry has faced online backlash in a recent social media upload, as fans reckon she's edited her body shape with photoshopping software.
The 27-year-old former MTV star was enjoying a day out at Ibiza's Ocean Beach Club when she posed in for an Instagram snap alongside pal Wayne Lineker, 61, in a skimpy white bikini and matching sarong.
Although the photo at first glance seems innocent, looking closer at the image posted featuring the two reality stars many fans were quick to point out that the straight wooden planks behind the pair were warped around Chloe's body.
Chloe uploaded the image to her own Instagram page with the caption: “What’s the point in going to Ibiza if you don’t get a picture with @waynelineker” accompanied with a flame emoji.
The snap in question which showed Chloe sporting a pair of large black sunglasses soon saw her accused by fans of committing a ‘photoshop fail’ which sparked an online outcry on social media.
One concerned fan wrote: “Chloe you look amazing, but please do not Photoshop your photos. Young girls follow you and you aren't representing a genuine version of yourself. There's no need to do this.”
Another questioned: “Do you not have anyone that reviews your photos before you post them? Photoshop skills are at 0.” whilst someone else wrote: “First rule of photoshop… don’t stand next to straight lines.”
However many fans defended Chloe following the harsh comments surrounding her photo. “Does everyone forget she was once the young girl bullied for how she looked and yet people are still bullying her for how she looks let the girl live her life," one more sympathetic fan wrote.
Another, highlighting the hypocrisy of the negative comments, wrote: “Imagine being one of those people that feel the need to pull someone apart on social media then wonder why she feels the need to Photoshop her photo.”
Someone else wrote: “Don't understand why people have to come on and tear someone down on social media, when in reality would never say something so brutal to a strangers face in the street.
"If someone uses photoshop or a filter maybe like myself have insecurities and the poison on social media just shows where the insecurities come from, so judgemental! Bring a girl up rather than pulling them down!!”
But others accused Chloe of being a bad role model by creating unrealistic beauty standards that aren't possible for the average woman to achieve without cosmetic enhances.
One fan hit out, writing: “For the people saying don’t understand why people say negative stuff ect ! Just stop and think what she is doing to young women and their mind sets ! she is photoshopping her photo to be so skinny for the girls who look up to her is not showing a good example AT ALL!! Women struggle with their mindset when comes to weight as it is we don’t need celebs adding to that."
