General Hospital actress Robyn Bernard has passed away at the age of 64. Her body was discovered in an open field behind a business in San Jacinto, California, on Tuesday at 4:08 a.m., as confirmed by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
As of now, the cause and manner of her death remain unknown, with authorities stating that foul play is not suspected. An autopsy is set to be conducted on Wednesday, while toxicology reports are expected to take several weeks to be finalized.
Bernard, born in Gladewater, Texas on May 26, 1959, began her acting career with a role in the 1981 film Diva. She later appeared in projects such as 1983's Whiz Kids and The Facts of Life in 1984.
However, it was her portrayal of Terry Brock in General Hospital that truly solidified her place in the entertainment industry. Joining the soap opera in 1984, Bernard featured in 145 episodes before departing the show in 1990.
Her final on-screen appearance was in the 2002 film Voices From The High School, where she played the role of a psychologist. Following this, she retired from acting and was known to have lived a quiet life in San Jacinto.
