GCC Confirms Importance of Enhancing Joint Cooperation with ICRC

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf has underscored the importance of enhancing joint cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Saudi Press Agency reported.

This came during a meeting the GCC secretary general held in New York on Monday with ICRC President Peter Maurer on the sidelines of the 77th UN General Assembly.

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the secretariat general of the GCC and the ICRC on enhancing cooperation relations between the two parties in joint fields of work, SPA added.
