Gary Neville believes Sean Dyche can give Everton fans "exactly what they want" as he explained how the new manager can become a success at Goodison.
Dyche, who spent almost 10 years in charge at Burnley before being dismissed last April, was on Monday confirmed as the new Blues boss in place of the sacked Frank Lampard.
He is the eighth permanent appointment in the role in the last nine years, and takes over an Everton side that has won just three of 20 Premier League games this season with only goal difference keeping them off the foot of the table.

But Neville is convinced Dyche is the best fit for the Blues hotseat since David Moyes and outlined the basic requirements of any Everton team.
"The daft thing about Everton is they have tried every single type of manager over a number of years," Neville told the ECHO. "None of them have really worked in any way shape or form, to be fair, except maybe Carlo Ancelotti.
"The reality of it is that Sean Dyche has good principles, good values, he's as solid as a rock and I think he'll give his all to the club like you wouldn't believe.
"For me, Everton are a very simple club whenever I go there - work your b******s off, fight like crazy, get stuck in and make sure you represent that shirt. They don't ask for much more.
"That might be being a bit basic. But Sean Dyche can give Everton fans exactly what it is they want. David Moyes did for a number of years.
"Let's see how Sean does, I wish him well. I hope Everton improve, as they are too big a football club to be in the position they are in. Let's hope they can get out of the mess they are in."
Gary Neville will be appearing at the M&S Bank Arena on Thursday night alongside fellow Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane in The Overlap Live, a stage version of his YouTube show. Some tickets remain available and can be purchased at cuffeandtaylor.com.
