'You've never played football' - Even Gary Neville agreed with Jurgen Klopp over incident that left Liverpool raging
Jurgen Klopp is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve.
Please him, and you'll often find yourself in the German's warm embrace. But should you happen to upset him, you'll know about it.
Indeed, a number of referees through the years have found themselves on the receiving end of Klopp's ire. But perhaps none more so than Paul Tierney, who left emotions running high in the Liverpool camp one year ago today.
Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Goals from Diogo Jota and Andy Robertson could not stop strikes from Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min earning a stalemate for the North London club.
But there was much more to the game than that, with a number of controversial decisions leaving Liverpool and their furious with what transpired in North London.
Liverpool wanted a penalty after Jota appeared to be pushed over by Emerson Royal. No spot-kick was awarded by referee Tierney, who even chose not to consult VAR, much to Klopp’s disbelief - and the contentious decisions did not end there.
The German would be left enraged later in the first half when Harry Kane's studs-up challenge on Andy Robertson saw the England captain yellow carded.
And later Robertson himself was sent off for a similar challenge on Emerson, leaving the Reds with a mountain to climb and Klopp fuming on the touchline.

Jude Bellingham delivers four-word response to Manchester United transfer question that Liverpool fans will love
Jude Bellingham delivered a sarcastic response when asked by a Manchester United fan if he would be coming to Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old midfielder looks set to have his pick of clubs when deciding his next move, as was the case with his former team-mate Erling Haaland, as Liverpool and the rest of Europe's elite scramble to get a deal over the line.
Jurgen Klopp's side are not the only Premier League team chasing the Birmingham City academy graduate, though, with Chelsea and Manchester City expected to push for Bellingham. A latest report by the Manchester Evening News has suggested the Red Devils are also ready to re-enter the race for the teenager, who they first attempted to recruit back in 2020 prior to his move to Borussia Dortmund, with senior sources at Old Trafford of the view the England international could 'create history' at the club.
The MEN add Erik ten Hag has told confidants that if he could sign any player in the world it would be the talented midfielder. The United boss is believed to have watched Dortmund's matches this season to monitor Bellingham's development amid his likely transfer exit.
Bellingham appears to have already answered whether or not United is a likely next destination, however, as shown in a video that has emerged.
