Laura Anderson shared the happy news she was expecting her first child with today – as she posted a video montage of her pregnancy so far.
The Love Island star, 33, is expecting her first child with Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy. She shared the news as Laura posted a video montage of her pregnancy journey so far – which included Laura having an ultrasound scan and then showing the pics to her adorable Pomeranian pup.
As Laura shared the happy news on her Instagram page, she wrote in the caption: "Our hearts are full Baby Lucy due Summer ‘23".
Weeks before Laura shared the news, it was rumoured the pair had split as Laura posted a cryptic message on her Instagram page.
Laura referenced going through a "really difficult time" in the post, sparking fears the pair – who met on Celebs Go Dating last year – had parted ways.
Gary later confirmed they had broken up as he said: "I love Laura but we are no longer together.
"My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby," he added to The Sun.
Before his relationship with Laura, Gary faced a series of failed dates on Celebs Go Dating.
Luke Morgan actor Gary turned to the dating show after he admitted to struggling to meet women following his divorce from Natasha Gray.
He previously said: "I've had an awful experience of dating again, it's a whole new world now and when you're busy, where do you meet people?"
"I'm a 40-year-old man now and I think there are a lot of people of my age, older and some younger, that kind of go s***, where do you go from here, where do you meet people?'," he added to The Sun.
Before his romance with Laura he was spotted leaving flirty comment under a post from Love Islander Lana Jenkins' Instagram shared in 2020.
Gary said he struggled to make the time to find love in between working on Hollyoaks and spending time with his four children; India, Elvis, Sadie and Theodore.
Actor Gary and Natasha tied the knot in 2014 after meeting a decade before in 2004. The actor described their meeting as "love at first sight".
However, things weren't to last as they ended their marriage in 2018, while Natasha was pregnant with their youngest son Theodore.
In a joint statement they said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the end of our marriage.
"This was a very difficult decision, but was reached mutually and amicably. No other parties are involved.
"Our priority is, as always, our children.
"There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision, just two best friends realising it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives possible. We are still a family and will always be loving, dedicated parents."
Before meeting Natasha, former Footballers' Wives star Gary dated a string of celebrity women including his former Hollyoaks co-star Danielle Brent, who played Gina Patrick on the soap.
He also enjoyed a string of dates with EastEnders' Zoe Slater actress Michelle Ryan, too.
Gary was also rumoured to have dated Michelle Heaton and actress Kelly Wenham.
The actor was rumoured to have had a string of romances at the beginning of his TV career, but ahead of his Celebs Go Dating stint, he insisted he hasn't had many relationships in his life.
He told the Daily Star last year: "I’ve been painted out to be a womaniser but I have only had three or four proper relationships in my life.
"One of which was obviously the mother of my kids.
"Yes, I did sleep around a lot when I was younger but I don’t have much experience when it comes to dating.
"It was either hook-ups while clubbing or long-term relationships."
The soap star also insisted he has always wanted to settle down as he said: "I was made out to be a lothario. The truth is I then spent a lot of my life trying to live up to that image.
"I used to throw phones away or get new numbers all the time because I was avoiding girls.
"I know it is pathetic. I was childish but all I have ever wanted is a life long partner to settle down with and build a nice life with.
"I did what I did when I was younger but it was never really me."
