Gary Lineker makes 'scary' Casemiro admission following Manchester United's dramatic draw

Gary Lineker has labelled Manchester United midfielder Casemiro as 'scary' following the side's 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian rose the highest to head home the Reds ' equaliser deep into stoppage time, sparing the blushes of Scott McTominay, who had seemingly handed the hosts all three points by fouling Armando Broja inside the penalty area just minutes before.

However, marking no better time to register your first for the club, Casemiro headed home following a delicious cross Luke Shaw, to ensure United left the capital with the shares spoiled. The result leaves Erik ten Hag's men fifth in the table with 11 games played thus far.

Following the full-time whistle, plaudits have flooded for United's 30-year-old midfielder, citing the impact he has had since his summer arrival from Real Madrid. It is worth noting Ten Hag's side hasn't lost in their last six games, with Casemiro starting in each one of those clashes.

Gary Lineker was quick to back up the recent praise, insisting he himself is already impressed with what he has seen from the five-time Champions League winner. ''Late drama at Stamford Bridge. Casemiro is quite scary,'' he wrote on social media, following yesterday's draw in the capital.

Registering 68 touches and 10 ball recoveries, it is hard not to see why United were so keen on bringing in the midfielder to help fill a clear missing piece of their puzzle earlier this year. Forcing his way past Fred and McTominay in recent weeks, his goal will have certainly helped his chances of remaining in the Dutchman's thoughts heading into a busy period before the World Cup commences.
