Gary Lineker and Match of the Day pundits slammed for Nottingham Forest vs Everton comments

Nottingham Forest fans have hit out at the BBC after their coverage of Steve Cooper's side's trip to Everton.

Reds striker Brennan Johnson might've had the winner in the 81st minute if not for a clever long ball by Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford straight to Demari Gray, who slotted it past Dean Henderson to equalise with just two minutes to go.

The result leaves Forest 11th in the league while Everton sit just above the relegation zone in 16th but fans were outraged at the lack of analysis of the newly-promoted side as Match of the Day aired on BBC One last night.

After showing the Forest game, many supporters were disappointed with the lack of analysis given by Gary Lineker, Danny Murphy and Martin Keown to their side. One fan tweeted:

@SuttonRed : Really disappointed in tonight’s coverage of @NFFC on @BBCMOTD! Not a word about them after the highlights, no analysis of the well taken goal by Johnson, all just about Everton. Poor @GaryLineker sort it out! #nffc

Here were some of the responses from fellow Forest fans...

@Philmsh79 : A few sentences. A remark on the improved performance, on a developing understanding between players, that’s all it would have taken. 30 seconds of analysis. But it was just. “The away point is good for Forest.” Nothing else.

@richmsanders : Fine by me - I said it all last season - let them sleep on us. Keep under the radar and surprise everyone.

@matthewskinner :I was there and we were definitely the better team. Will stop watching if it carries on.

@NigelSm05868161 : Those of us of a certain age will remember when the pundits dismissed Forest out of hand the season they won the League, now like then we had no well-known pundits as ex-players, don’t worry under the radar!!

@ghghghjjlgsj : I think the media in general are disrespecting us. Perhaps that’ll change when we beat a big 6 club?
