Gabriel Jesus reacts to Brazil World Cup call-up as Arsenal teammate misses out on Qatar trip

Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus was named in Tite's final Brazil World Cup squad after an impressive start to life at Arsenal following his move from Manchester City in the summer. The 25-year-old has been joined in the squad by fellow attacker Gabriel Martinelli but Gabriel Magalhaes has been left out.

All three were excluded from Brazil's squad for the September international break but after recent impressive displays from Martinelli and Jesus they will be heading to Qatar, where they will compete in Group G along with Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon.

Jesus moved to Arsenal from Manchester City for £45million over the summer and became a hugely important part of Mikel Arteta's title-challenging side, while Martinelli has exceeded all expectations placed on him at the start of the season, nailing down a consistent spot on the left of Arsenal's attack.

While the forward is currently on a nine-game goal drought he has continued to spearhead the Gunners attack and remain heavily involved in much of their brilliant attacking play as was the case in the Arsenal's impressive London derby win against Chelsea on Sunday

Following his return to the national team picture, Jesus has provided a reaction to his call up posting a 27-second video celebrating his inclusion in the Brazil squad with several clips of him in action for his country.

Jesus has made 56 senior appearances for Brazil, scoring 19 goals in the process, with his last appearance coming in the summer of 2022 in the friendly victory over Japan.
