Labour and the Conservatives are both fighting for every seat on Gedling Borough Council this year as the former party seeks to retain its control of the authority. Elections on May 4 will see voters across the country electing local councillors, including in Gedling.
The Labour Party current has 28 councillors on Gedling Borough Council under its leader John Clarke. That compares to seven held by the Conservatives, three held by the Liberal Democrats and two held by independent councillors.
In the neighbouring Nottingham City Council, only Labour are putting up a candidate for every seat available. But for the 41 seats available on Gedling, both the Tories and Labour will be putting a candidate up for each. Below is the full list of candidates for the Gedling Borough Council elections.
