Dean Henderson has hit out at Manchester United for failed promises after claiming he turned down a number of loan moves last summer. The former Sheffield United loanee was linked with a move to St. James' Park last summer and again in January with the Magpies keen to bolster their back line. However, Newcastle opted to sign Nick Pope this summer following Burnley's relegation from the Championship.
Henderson has hit out at his treatment in Manchester last season claiming he was "fuming" at missing out on 12 months of football. He told talkSPORT: "I turned so many good loans down last summer for that reason (being told he would be No 1), and they wouldn't let me go.
