Paris Fashion Week has flexed its influence as fashion’s great and good crowd continue to crowd onto their front row seats, ready to see the AW22 collections of the hottest French houses.
Yesterday, a stellar set headed to the Musée d’Orsay for the Louis Vuitton collection, the first fashion show to be held in the museum. Among those who watched as Squid Game star Jung Ho-Yeon opened the show was Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas who got to chatting with Gemma Chan.
Elsewhere, Emma Stone and Julianne Moore stood arm in arm, while Alicia Vikander and Chloë Grace Moretz clutched their LV bags in support.
On Sunday, at the Valentino show which packed a pink punch, Zendaya – the new face of the house – took her seat by Lewis Hamilton, while Vanessa Hudgens and Vanessa Kirby smiled for cameras.
Sunday’s evening slot was taken by Givenchy, where Venus Williams made a stylish appearance in a black, front zip mini dress. She was joined by Paris Jackson in thigh high leather boots with colourful knit sweater, and British model Leomie Anderson to catch Matthew Williams’ latest work.
Balmain attracted a stellar set that included sporting superstars Neymar and Serena Williams, alongside Riverdale’s Charles Melton and Madelaine Petsch, and Jean Paul Gaultier on Wednesday. They watched on as Olivier Rousteing gave the house a new look, leaving behind the Balmain Army blazers in favour of chainmail tops and armored corsets.
On Tuesday, it was Saint Laurent who drew the most glittering of crowds. Their actor-heavy audience included Euphoria’s man of the moment Jacob Elordi, who brushed shoulders with French cinematography’s grand dames Catherine Deneuve and Béatrice Dalle.
Also pictured getting the first glimpse of Creative Director’s Anthony Vaccarello’s new creations was the Beckham set, which included Victoria, Romeo, and his girlfriend Mia Regan alongside fellow designers Donatella Versace and Olivier Rousteing showing their support.
For the Off-White presentation, the front row challenged the supermodel saturated runway for best in show. Cheering from the side lines were Rihanna and A$AP Rocky as well as Pharrell Williams with his wife Helen Lasichanh and son Rocket Ayer Williams.
And at Dior, it was again Rihanna who made the biggest splash as she made her way in a sheer slip dress and strappy knickers. The pregnant singer was joined in seeing Maria Grazia-Chiuri’s re-vamped, biker-girl style by a chic looking Iris Law, Anya Taylor-Joy and British actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Today marks only the final day of a nine-day affair, with Miu Miu and Chanel the last to show.
