French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron have found themselves in the spotlight once again after another awkward public moment. The couple arrived in the U.K. on Tuesday for a three-day state visit, but their interaction while getting off the plane caught attention for all the wrong reasons.
Cameras were rolling as the couple got off their jet at Royal Air Force Northolt in London. The footage showed Brigitte seemingly ignoring her husband as he held out his hand to help her walk down the plane’s steps. The 47-year-old president’s arm stayed extended for several moments, but the 72-year-old first lady seemed more focused on holding onto the railing instead.
