Free bus travel for members of the armed forces, veterans and cadets today

First Bus has announced that free bus travel will be available for serving members of the armed forces, veterans and cadets today (Saturday, June 24) as a way of supporting Armed Forces Day. The free travel will be available to those in uniform, or displaying valid identification, across First Bus services in the West of England (including Bristol, Bath, Wells and Weston-super-Mare) as well as Wales and Worcester.

Armed Forces Day is a national annual event to show support for the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces. This will be the sixth year that First Bus has offered free travel for those service men and women.

Rob Pymm, Commercial Director for First West of England and Wales, said: “Armed Forces Day is an important occasion for so many people across the UK, recognising the incredible service that military personnel provide, and most importantly, remembering those who have been lost in service. We’re a committed supporter of the communities we serve in the West of England and Wales, and are proud to help members of the armed forces travel on this special day.”
