Former USMNT star hands Christian Pulisic Leeds United escape route amid Chelsea uncertainty

Former USMNT defender Alexi Lalas has insisted that Chelsea star Christian Pulisic could move to Leeds United in a bid to rediscover his golden touch that has dwindled at Stamford Bridge - should the Elland Road side remain in the Premier League.

Pulisic joined the Blues in 2019 for a fee in the region of £57.6.million after making a name for himself at Borussia Dortmund. Pulisic has made 136 appearances so far, scoring 26 and assisting another 21, but has failed to cement himself as a first team regular.

Under Graham Potter this season, Pulisic has struggled for regular starts with only eight in the 21 appearances made. After impressing at the Qatar World Cup, the 24-year-old has been forced to watch Chelsea's dismal run of form from the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury in January.
