Former NFL defensive end Josh Mauro died in April at age 35, and details surrounding his cause of death have only now been made public, highlighting the potentially deadly consequences of combining multiple substances.

According to a Phoenix Police Department case report obtained by The California Post on Monday, Mauro had reportedly been using cocaine and drinking alcohol before he was found unresponsive at his Arizona home.
