Canberra have shuffled their forward pack for their difficult trip to South Sydney on Saturday, with coach Ricky Stuart demanding a response to their second hefty home defeat this year.
Much like the 53-12 loss to Penrith in round five, the Raiders looked uncompetitive at times in a 42-14 drubbing against Manly last time out, snapping a five-game winning streak that had rocketed them up the table.
They'll miss their entire regular back row against the Rabbitohs - Hudson Young is on State of Origin duty while captain Elliott Whitehead is both injured and suspended - meaning a recall for versatile forward Corey Harawira-Naera and a shift for Corey Horsburgh.
Stuart backed in the replacement duo and asked the team to forget about their Sea Eagles display, instead focusing on the form that had carried them into the top eight.
"We did review it and go through it but then we've got to leave it because I believe we're a better football team than that," he said.
"We will take ownership and responsibility towards our roles where we can fix it and that's what we've done as a team.
"We have to bounce back, they never leave you those types of games, but the best way to forget it is to play better."
Winger Nick Cotric has been recalled but will provide outside back coverage off the bench, unable to displace in-form Albert Hopoate or veteran Jordan Rapana for a starting gig.
They retain Horsburgh after the Queenslander missed Origin selection, Stuart encouraging his enforcer to continue banging down the door in search of a debut cap.
"Kicking stones is the absolute opposite to what he needs to do," he said.
"He's a lot further in the picture than he was this time last year, and that's a good thing for him.
"I've said he will get his chance and he will, I know the right people in regards to the Queensland team are all happy with what he's doing and he needs to continue that form."
It will be Canberra's first visit to Accor Stadium since the 2019 grand final, an infamous outing among Raiders fans after their 14-8 defeat to the Sydney Roosters.
