Floyd Mayweather Defeats John Gotti III In Mexico Exhibition Fight

Floyd Mayweather Jr. boxing match moments.

Former world champion Floyd Mayweather, known for his illustrious boxing career, recently engaged in an exhibition fight against John Gotti III in Mexico City. The 47-year-old Mayweather, who retired from professional boxing in 2017 with an impeccable record of 50 wins, faced off against Gotti in an eight-round bout at Arena Ciudad de Mexico.

The fight, which had no judges, was a rematch of a previous encounter that had ended in a chaotic brawl in Florida last June. Mayweather, often referred to as 'Money,' showcased his dominance in the ring, particularly shining from the second round onwards. Notably, Mayweather even requested a change of referee during the match.

Despite the competitive nature of the fight, Mayweather and Gotti shared a moment of sportsmanship as they embraced in the ring at the conclusion of the bout, amidst boos from the Mexican fans in attendance. Mayweather's legacy in boxing is undeniable, having secured world titles in five different weight divisions and defeating notable opponents such as Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, and Saúl 'Canelo' Álvarez.

In recent years, Mayweather has ventured into exhibition matches, facing off against various opponents including three Japanese fighters and even Logan Paul, a popular YouTuber and WWE wrestler. These exhibitions have allowed Mayweather to continue showcasing his skills and maintaining his connection with the boxing community.
