It came on BBC's Grandstand programme, with anchor Des Lynam producing a brilliant display of acting.
During the show, a mock fight broke out in the background, where the BBC reporters are seen working away on their computers.
As Lynam introduces the programme, chatting about the upcoming Grand National and the FA Cup final, two of the Beeb staff can be seen starting a fight in the background.
More people then get involved before the group starts wrestling.
Lynam is seen apologising for the incident, but then he smiles and jokes: "Let's see that again."
The legendary presenter then offers a running commentary on the 'fight' before confirming there were no injuries.
The staff members are then seen holding an 'April Fool' banner, with Lynam adding: "Well, we have to enjoy ourselves as well, you know."
