The devastated wife of a Scots motorist who died during a horror two car smash has paid tribute to her “kind and gentle” husband.

Stuart Finnie, from Gavinton in the Scottish Borders, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene on the A6091 in Melrose, on Tuesday, February 1.

The 30-year-old’s Seat Ibizia collided with a Mini at around 8.35am near the B6539 with a 57-year-old rushed to hospital.
