Fire service called to crash in Stapleford town centre near busy junction

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue crews have been called to a collision in Stapleford and remain at the scene. The incident was reported to the service at 1:24pm on Wednesday, June 21, following a road traffic collision on Derby Road.

The accident is understood to have taken place close to the junctions of Toton Lane and Eatons Road in the town centre. Crews from the fire service remain at the scene.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue stated: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Derby Road in Stapleford at 1:24 pm today (Wednesday 21 June). A crew from Stapleford and Ilkeston are currently in attendance."

It is not yet known how many cars were involved in the collision or if anyone has been injured.
