Neighbours have described how they were 'miraculously' unharmed after a car crashed through three gardens. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a car hitting a house on Beckhampton Road in Bestwood at 3.11pm on Saturday, June 10.
The vehicle ripped up items from front gardens and the falling debris damaged a neighbour's car. No one was injured during the incident, according to the emergency services.
Margaret Whitby, 83, who said her property had been hit first by the car as it came off the road, thought it was a lucky escape. "It is a miracle that no-one is hurt," she said.

"The driver had a child in the car and went through all three of our gardens. I would like to know what caused it, I can't see any tyre marks.
"I was in the house but I was listening to a tape and then I heard a bang. But that's not unusual around here - I only saw it when I looked outside and saw my neighbours come out."
Ms Whitby said the front of her neighbours' homes had been damaged in the crash, including one of the property's doors. She added: "It had a knock on effect, because it hit my garden first and then stuff went flying into the air and landed on my neighbour's car and damaged it."
Neighbour Brian Newcombe, 78, explained he did not know what had caused the crash but said drivers would often speed on Beckhampton Road, with another car crashing through a hedge on the other side of the road a few years ago.
"It is quite lucky that no-one was hurt, it's a busy road and people could have been in the front gardens at the time. We didn't see the crash but we could hear it.
"Two fire engines and the police came and then it was dragged out of the gardens a bit later. People do drive mad down here, it's supposed to be 20mph but I don't think many stick to that."
Another resident, who did not want to be named, added: "I'm just relieved that everyone seems to be okay. It must have been awful for the people coming out to see a car across their gardens."
After the crash, police officers and fire crews were sent to the homes. Nottinghamshire Police said there were no injuries and that officers made no arrests over the incident.
A Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A crew from Arnold and Stockhill attended an RTC on the South part of Beckhampton Road in Bestwood on Saturday, June 10. We received the call at 3.11pm, and crews used small tools to help make the scene safe before handing it over to Nottinghamshire Police."
