EMERGENCY services are on the scene of an incident on the A9 with the road closed in both directions at Kingussie.
Five fire units were sent to a crash after a collision around 2pm on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “We received the call at 2pm and we are still at the scene.
“We have sent three appliances from Aviemore, one volunteer unit from Carrbridge and one heavy rescue unit from Inverness.”
The latest post from Traffic Scotland, posted at around 5.50pm, said: "#A9 Kingussie. CLOSED in both directions due to a collision.
"Emergency services remain at the scene. Traffic is heavy on surrounding approaches tonight, please avoid the area at this time."
It has not yet been confirmed if anyone has been injured although The National has reached out to Police Scotland for comment.
UPDATE: Traffic Scotland has confirmed the incident is now over and the bridge re-opened.
