BBC Question Time presenter Fiona Bruce said she will step back from her role as an ambassador for the charity Refuge following claims she had trivialised domestic violence during a discussion about Stanley Johnson on last Thursday’s show.
In a statement, Fiona Bruce said she was stepping back from her role as an ambassador with domestic abuse charity Refuge “with real sadness” over comments she made on Thursday’s edition of Question Time on the BBC.
She said: “It is with real sadness that I have decided to step back from my role as an ambassador for the domestic abuse charity Refuge.
