A fifth person has been charged over the alleged abduction of a five-year-old girl in the Northern Territory.
Police arrested a 48-year-old woman on Thursday morning, and she was later charged with abducting a child under the age of 16.
The woman was bailed to face Darwin Local Court on September 6.
"This is now the fifth arrest in relation to the 5-year-old's abduction, investigations remain ongoing," Detective Senior Sergeant John Beer said.
"Police will continue to work tirelessly to ensure everyone involved faces court."
The five-year-old was allegedly abducted on August 7 and was missing for nearly a fortnight before she was dropped off at a police station last week.
At the time, Detective Superintendent Kirsten Engels said officers were still trying to build a full picture of what happened over the course of her disappearance, but they were relishing the fact the young girl was safely home.
Another two people were on Thursday charged with the alleged abduction, a 67-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man. Both were bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on October 26.
Previously two women, one aged 35 and the other 50, faced court charged with abducting a child under 16.
