More than 50 nurses working in Fayette County public schools may be looking for a new job next July.
In a news release, Fayette Public Schools announced they’d end their nearly 50-year agreement with the Fayette County Health Department to provide school nurses.
According to the Monday statement, the likely move to Maxim Staffing Services will affect between 54 and 58 school nurses, who can reapply with Maxim.
The company’s bid of $3.1 million for next year is about $1.4 million less than the health department’s, according to the news release.
