Authorities reported a fatal car crash involving a Washington State Patrol trooper just west of Seattle, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, with the trooper escaping serious injuries but being taken to a hospital for precautionary measures.
The Mason County Coroner identified the deceased as Charles Ferree, 72, and Deolia Blandford, 49, both residents of Washington. The trooper, whose identity remains undisclosed, was traveling on U.S. 101 with emergency lights and sirens activated when the collision occurred at an intersection, according to Deputy Matt Colbenson, spokesperson for the Mason County Sheriff's Office.
