Farhad Moshiri responds to fans amid growing calls for changes to Everton board

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has backed the existing board members amid growing discontent among many supporters over how the club is run.

Despite being Everton’s majority shareholder, Moshiri is not a member of the club’s board who are listed on their official website as consisting of chairman Bill Kenwright; Finance Director Grant Ingles; former player Graeme Sharp, a non-executive Director; and Chief Executive Officer Denise Barrett-Baxendale.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jim White asked whether Moshiri still had faith in his board given that lots of Everton supporters had called for him to dismiss them and the Blues owner replied: “Look, I think they’ve been there for a long time. Some are new appointments but they’re long-standing, they’re dedicated, they’re local.

We have two big games, Saturday and on the 21st, that’s the only focus.”
