Fans were convinced that Travis Kelce’s Grotesquerie debut paid homage to Taylor Swift’s first Chiefs game

Travis Kelce spent much of the offseason in Los Angeles as he filmed his role for the new Ryan Murphy series, Grotesquerie, on FX. And on Wednesday, we finally got our first look at the Chiefs tight end’s character in a scripted series.

One scene, in particular, caught the attention of Taylor Swift fans.

Kelce is playing a hospital orderly named Ed Laclan who spends much of the screen time interacting with Niecy Nash’s character, Lois. Right before that third episode went into its end credits, Ed helped Lois leave the hospital by running towards an old-school Mustang convertible and driving away. You know, like a getaway car.

It might not have been intentional, but the scene certainly looked similar to the footage of Kelce leaving Arrowhead Stadium in a convertible with Swift after her first Chiefs game. Look familiar?

Fans definitely drew the connection.
