Family-run dealership forced to close faces Renault and Nissan in court showdown

THE owner of a family-run car dealership that was forced to close after 45 years just days before Christmas is set to face motor giants Renault and Nissan in court after he claimed they “destroyed” his business.

On Monday, a High Court judge rejected a bid by the two car brand giants, along with the motor finance firm RCI Financial Services, to have Angus businessman Kevin Mackie’s case against them thrown out.
