The Atlanta Falcons ended a three-game skid against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday to take first place in the NFC South. Despite some ugly moments on offense, Jessie Bates and the defense came up with a performance that potentially saved head coach Arthur Smith’s job.
Quarterback Desmond Ridder rebounded from two early interceptions to make arguably the best throw of his career in the fourth quarter. Here’s how Falcons fans on Twitter reacted to Sunday’s 24-15 win over the Saints.

It's not only because they beat the Saints to be in first place that makes this the most satisfying win of the season for the Falcons. It's how they did it. Dominated on the ground. Ridder was excellent minus two INTs. Bates had another exceptional game. Awesome all-around win.

Jessie Bates III has single-handedly won 2 games this year, worth every penny

As far as Ridder is concerned, there’s no point in arguing or debating over him for a few reasons. He hasn’t been good, but he’s also making peanuts. The Falcons need a franchise QB, but they bet NOT pay Carr money to any FA QB next offseason.

Lmao the saints are paying $37.5 million a year for Derek Carr and he might be the third most effective QB on their roster

Arthur Smith said: "Take the game over." … "That's who we need to be to close out games."

These two teams are just taking turns looking directly into the eyes of their dedicated, loyal fanbases and sticking a silverware drawer directly into a light socket

Ridder has been erratic to say the least, but at least the Falcons aren’t paying him over $35 mil a year to be horrible. lol
