Fabio Paratici may now need to rethink his transfer window idea of a new midfielder at Tottenham after the thrilling victory over Leicester.
After Steven Bergwijn replaced Sergio Reguilon in the 79th minute, the Dutchman not only got the equalising goal but also scored the winner, helping his side gain three points from the fixture.
Antonio Conte spoke about his players' fight in his post match press conference, which helped his side get the victory, after a James Maddison goal in the 76th minute left them a goal behind.
However, it wasn't just the two time goal scorer who created the thrilling win, there were a number of players who played their part in the build-up to the goals.
When the starting line-up came out, an hour before kick-off, there were concerns from many about the supposed lack of creativity in the midfield trio.
Harry Winks, Oliver Skipp and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg have all produced some solid performances so far this season but have all also been criticised for their lack of creativity and attacking flare.
Peter Crouch commented on this after the game.
"There was a worry about Hojbjerg, Winks and Skipp being creative in midfield but this pass from Hojbjerg to [Matt] Doherty was absolutely fantastic and they were doing that most of the night," Crouch explained.
When Harry Kane scored the first equalising goal for Tottenham, it was Winks who put a ball over the top for the England captain to slot into the back of Kasper Schmeichel's net
The 25-year-old didn't have any shots on goal but made four key passes throughout the game, added energy and tried to help with the attacking play as much as he could.
In the build up to Bergwijn's first goal, it was the Dane that sent a ball over the top to Doherty, before it fell to the Dutchman. It was then Hojbjerg who won possession back for the Lilywhites and passed it to Kane, who went on to assist Bergwijn for the winning goal.
Hojbjerg had an 89.4% passing accuracy, as well as having four shots at goal, with one being on target.
In the recent few games, the 26-year-old has seen a slight drop in form and not had as much of an impact as he has shown this season.
However, his display at the King power Stadium was back to the midfielder Spurs fans had seen earlier in the season. Hojbjerg is one of the leaders on the pitch and tried to make an impact at both ends of the field throughout the game.
This impact was also seen defensively, in the closing minutes of the game, when he blocked a Harvey Barnes shot to deny a Leicester attack in the final third.
Skipp also had another solid performance, getting out wide and trying to add creativity with his forward passes, as well as his shot on goal.
The midfield trio sat behind the forwards and helped to add some much needed creativity in the middle of the pitch.
One of the positions that Antonio Conte is reportedly wanting an upgrade on is the central midfield position, meaning Paratici may have already got to work with targeting potential players.
Franck Kessie is one player who has been heavily linked with a move to N17 and is amongst a number of players linked to Spurs during this January transfer window.
Giovani Lo Celso replaced Winks in the 74th minute on Wednesday night and also tried to help in attack, although he didn't have as much impact as Tottenham's other subs.
Dele Alli was an unused player on the bench, with Tanguy Ndombele again not being included in the matchday squad.
Dele and Lo Celso are both seen as the more creative midfielders, but the starting trio gave 100 per cent to try and prove fans otherwise.
The solid display from the midfielders doesn't mean that another player for that role doesn't need to be brought in, but it does show an improvement on what has been seen in previous fixtures and the impact Conte has already had.
If a central midfielder can be brought to N17 with consistent attacking flare, they could work alongside the likes of Winks, Skipp and Hojbjerg to solve the creativity issue that has been lacking at Tottenham since Christian Eriksen's exit.
