The Red Arrows are set to fly over Wales for the second and third day as part of the Swansea air show this weekend. Over Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2 the aircrafts will be travelling the same route over south Wales for everyone to enjoy.
On Saturday, at the Wales National Air Show, the famous RAF jets will be seen soaring the sky over Swansea at 5pm after starting their journey from Cardiff Airport. Leaving Cardiff Airport at 4.47pm, the jets will fly over the British Channel then over the Gower via Penmaen at 4.55pm.
From Penmaen, the Red Arrows will fly to Trimsaran at 4.56pm to Capel Hendre at 4.58pm then to Pontlliw at 4.59pm before arriving at the Swansea air show. Their performance over Swansea beach will last around 23 minutes where the esteemed pilots will show their acrobatic talents in their Hawk fast-jets.
From Swansea Bay, they will fly over Porthcawl at 5.24pm then finally arriving back to Cardiff Airport at 5.27pm. As the air show is taking place over two days and the Red Arrows are performing on both days, if you miss them on Saturday, you will have the chance to see them on Sunday.
The performance from the Red Arrows will take place earlier on in the afternoon of the second day of their Swansea display, on Sunday. They will begin their journey from Cardiff Airport at 11.47am flying back to Penmaen at 11.49am.
From Penmaen, the Red Arrows will fly to Trimsaran at 11.56am to Capel Hendre at 11.58 then to Pontlliw at 11.59am before arriving at the Swansea air show for midday. The performance should again take 23 minutes and the aircrafts will be seen flying over Porthcawl at 12.24pm to their final destination in Wales, Cardiff airport at 12.27pm.
The event will also feature performances from other aircraft display teams including, Typhoon Display Team, Team Raven, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Norwegian Vampire, P-47 Thunderbolt, Tigers Army Parachute Display Team, AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers, Strikemaster, Swordfish, Yak 50, Jet Pitts, Harvard G-NWHF, Supermarine Seafire and Westland Wasp.
