Former Rangers winger Jordan Jones has joined South Shields in the SIXTH tier of English football.
The 31-year-old was a free agent after leaving Carlisle United following two seasons with them, one in League Two and one in the National League.
How now drops down a level to team up with his former boss Mike Williamson.
A club statement said: "We are delighted to announce the signing of Northern Ireland international Jordan Jones, subject to FA and league approval!
"Jones links up with Mike Williamson and his squad, adding a wealth of EFL, SPFL, European, and international experience to the dressing room.
"The 31-year-old spent time with Premier League side Sunderland AFC during their time in League One, joining the Black Cats on loan from Scottish Premiership side Rangers during the 2020/21 season and would go on to lift the EFL Trophy.
"The Northern Irish forward brings experience from across England and Scotland, as well as the European and international stage. During his time with Rangers, Jones made seven appearances in the UEFA Europa League and has represented Northern Ireland on numerous occasions, featuring in friendlies, World Cup qualifiers, and Nations League qualifiers.

"Jones has also spent time with fellow SPFL side Kilmarnock, where he made a significant impact in the Scottish top flight. He later joined Wigan Athletic in League One during the 2023/24 season, spending two seasons with the Latics.
"His most recent spell came with Carlisle United, where he spent two seasons competing in League Two and the National League."
Jones added: “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to represent the club and build on the great relationship I have with the manager.
“It’s an opportunity to fall back in love with football and do whatever it takes to bring success to South Shields.”
The Northern Ireland international signed for Rangers in 2019 after signing a pre-contract agreement off the back of some good form for Kilmarnock.
He would never become a first team regular at Ibrox and only made 19 appearances, and also had a loan away from the club at Sunderland.
He has since played for Wigan Athletic and returned to Scotland breifly for loan spells at St Mirren and Kilmarnock.
