Video shows ex-gamekeeper David Campbell disabling CCTV cameras at his home in an attempt to conceal his whereabouts ahead of murdering his old colleague.
Campbell, 77, killed Brian Low, 65, with a shotgun on 16 February 2024. A jury at the High Court in Glasgow heard that he had harboured a “festering grievance” against Mr Low, who he had worked with at Edradynate Estate.
Footage released by Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service on Wednesday (25 February) shows Campbell covering security cameras at his home in Aberfeldy, Scotland with duct tape. He can later be seen travelling to the scene of the killing on his wife’s e-bike, wearing a “hooded jacket” and armed with a shotgun carried in a bag slung on his back.
On Wednesday, Campbell was found guilty of murder in a majority verdict, after more than two days of deliberations. He was sentenced to a minimum of 19 years in prison.
