An evil Edinburgh dad who murdered his infant son to get revenge against his ex has lost a sentence appeal bid.
Lukasz Czapla shot, stabbed and smothered two-year-old Julius at his home in Muirhouse, Edinburgh, in November 2020.
He killed the toddler to get back at the child's mum, Patrycja Szczesniak, as the Daily Record reports.

Edinburgh High Court heard how she had split from the 42-year-old in June that year but let him look after Julius.
But she texted Czapla to tell him she was seeing someone and he texted back asking about her new partner and her sex life.

His lawyers had asked the Court of Criminal Appeal to cut his 23-year minimum term and said proper consideration hadn't been shown to his mental health problems.
