The free agency involving star first baseman Freddie Freeman heading to the Los Angeles Dodgers last winter might have turned out to have been much more dramatic than we knew.
That’s at least according to various reports and the fact that Freeman fired his agent … right after his visit to play his old team, the Atlanta Braves last weekend. As you might recall, Freeman spent 12 seasons in Atlanta and won a World Series ring with them last year before signing a six-year, $162 million contract with the Dodgers ($57 million of that is deferred money).
